2.  This website, created by the Medical Library Association, includes a page of resources for health consumers.  It also includes special resources for older adults.

3.  This webpage is developed especially for seniors to provide reliable health information.

What if I don’t understand something when I see the doctor?  Are there people in my community that could help me?

1.  Find a health library near you!

2.  Utilize a virtual coaching service.

3.  Request that your public library have a staff trained to help you access health information.

4.  Research study examining different programs for addressing health literacy particularly strategies for public libraries to adopt.

I’d like to help others improve their health literacy.  What can I do?

1.  Encourage health centers in your area to improve the readability of their resources.

2.  An interesting article about a library’s work to improve reference librarian’s ability to help consumers search for health information.
