Aging and the Heart
One study found that certain behaviors helped older adults to stay healthy. These included being physically active, not smoking, drinking wine (for women), having more education, and having a smaller waist. Other factors that helped adults to stay healthy were having high HDL (a form of cholesterol known as “good” cholesterol), not having diabetes, and having a lower blood pressure.
